Calspan Development and Construction is led by Mr. John Yurtchuk, a local developer since 1990. His wealth of experience includes projects such as building the Calspan Flight Research building, Excelsior Orthopedics, PGA Financial Plaza along with many others, and improving existing spaces such as the Dent Tower and Calspan Business Park. John has built a talented Calspan Development and Construction team who most recently completed a state-of-the-art crash test facility and is in the process of building the Ortho Rhode Island bio-medical center in Warwick, RI.

Primarily responsible for financing the acquisition of Calspan in 2005, Mr. Yurtchuk remains actively involved in strategic business decision making and corporate finance in his role as an owner and Chairman of Calspan. John founded Matrix Development Corporation in 1990 and has successfully developed, financed, and constructed several million square feet of commercial real estate in Western New York, the New York City metropolitan area, and in Florida.
Peter is responsible for managing the shared corporate services provided to Calspan’s business units. As part of this function, he provides leadership and oversight for Calspan’s corporate finance, purchasing, contracts, legal, compliance and information technology services. He also oversees new business development and operations for the Calspan Business Park.
Peter earned both his M.B.A. and B.S. from the SUNY Buffalo and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a 2012 recipient of the distinguished Buffalo Business First “40 under 40” award. Peter also serves as a board member for the City Honors Foundation.
Steve is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, construction and leasing for the 800,000 sq. ft. flex space that is owned and managed by Calspan. Steve’s strength in managing construction projects for over 15 years has allowed Calspan to expand into development and construction on off Calspan-campus properties, as well.
Steve earned his M.B.A., M.S. in Construction Management, and B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Steve is on the Board of Directors for the Alix Rice Peace Park Foundation and coaches youth lacrosse.
